Louise was a real woman; therefore, I have a few guidelines on how I write this blog. I want to respect her and her surviving family wherever and whoever they are. I do not know Louise personally- I just stumbled across her recipe box one day in a thrift shop. Her recipes and cooking obviously meant something to her, and I want to share that joy and nostalgia.

1. I will never identify Louise’s last name.
2. Locations and her associated organizations will be dashed out à la Jane Austen (e.g., town of D—, Women’s Club of S—).
3. Some recipes were given to her by friends. These names will be presented as initials.
4. Any speculation about her life is purely my own fabrication and are a result of an unruly, often silly, imagination.
